His expertise encompasses a broad range of areas, including tea estate management, organic manure preparation, supervising tea manufacturing, maintaining accounts, labor administration, advising farmers on the benefits and methods of organic farming, ensuring compliance with organic certification standards, and conducting impact assessments.
In his previous role as a country manager for a renowned international organization, he was responsible for reducing the carbon footprint and promoting sustainable development through carbon credit projects. He is also associated with a national-level private organization as an organic consultant, leveraging his knowledge and experience in sustainable agriculture. Somesh is an honors graduate with a diploma in tea management, providing him with a robust foundation in sustainable organic farming. He is a passionate communicator, eager to share his expertise and promote positive environmental impact.

Dr. Gaurav Pant is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He worked as a “Food safety auditor” under “TQS Global Management System”, during “XIX COMMON WEALTH GAMES – 2010, New Delhi”. He was a Senior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR – New Delhi), in a research project entitled “Bioremediation of heavy metals from industrial effluents using cyanobacterial strains” and was awarded his PhD in 2014. His thrust area of research involves monitoring and understanding the impact of pollutants on environmental issues related to public health. Besides, he is also working on different restoration approaches for environmental clean-up based on biological and artificial intelligence (AI) models. Dr. Pant has published more than 30 research and review articles in highly reputed journals along with 6 book chapters (Springer Cham, Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, Springer Nature), 23 NCBI GenBank sequences, and 10 patents. Dr. Pant supervised 3 Ph.D. students and is engaged with the supervision of 2 Ph.D. students in GEU.

Dr. Abhishek RoyChowdhury is an accomplished Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Natural Resources at Navajo Technical University, where he has been dedicated to environmental clean-up and providing clean water solutions to marginalized communities since April 2023. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology and Albuquerque’s Stevens Institute of Technology, focusing on workforce development and renewable energy. Dr. RoyChowdhury holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Management from Montclair State University, specializing in green remediation of acid mine drainage. He is also Secretary/Treasurer of the Geology and Health Division at The Geological Society of America. He contributes as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology and Academic Editor for PLOS Water. His research journey began with a Master’s in Environmental Science from the University of Calcutta, following a Bachelor’s in Zoology.
